The trademarked term "Emotional SMARTS®" is registered internationally. It is understood people presenting Emotional SMARTS® Works are not employees or agents of Donaldson & Associates, Inc. Individuals who order the Emotional SMARTS® Self-Scoring Profile and who agree to the License Agreement are able to present the profiles in adherence with the instructions in the Facilitator Guide.

The Emotional SMARTS® book and Self-Scoring Profile are based on theoretical concepts, organizational, and practical experience. They are not a scientific measure of emotional intelligence and are not intended for diagnostic or selection purposes. They are tools which provide information on emotional intelligence concepts and professional development. Individuals or organizations wishing to obtain emotional intelligence materials for diagnostic or selection purposes are directed to registered psychologists.

Dr. June Donaldson and Wendy Turner-Larsen intend that all Works produced by their companies be educational, informative, and encouraging. They are not to be used for treatment of any health disorder, for diagnosis, or as a prescription. The above Works should not replace advice and consultation of qualified health care practitioners.
